I purchased Kaluga Caviar this year again from Urbani Truffles. I picked it up at the NYC store. And again the service was wonderful - courteous, unproblematic and quick. I was really looking forward to this. I love all of Urbani's offerings and though it did sound a bit strange, I thought I'd give it a try. Not for me. It just has a funky taste. I love truffles and I love chocolate Panettone, but this was just off for me. It's all a matter of personal taste -

The texture and mild flavor of the caviar is as expected but it was overly salty on the palette

everything about this was great…the packaging and preparation…and then one of the wonders of the world, that white truffle.
